With an all-out effort, Lekko Spoceni's Gary Ingram threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maciej Jaworski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mikolaj Szotek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Firmino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Chesney Summers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maciej Jaworski in the 38th minute of play forced Korona Kielce's goalkeeper Gary Ingram to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikolaj Szotek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivar Lilleeng in the 43rd minute of the match. Mikolaj Szotek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chesney Summers in the 47th minute of play. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Chesney Summers sped through Lekko Spoceni's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mikolaj Szotek. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
