The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marciano Fertus's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Shao Bing Bo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 94th minute of the match Isidro Orlin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Mi querida Fabiola players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
