After some careless play in the New Joinville - FSCMZ defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xande Buffon. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xande Buffon should have stopped the shot. After 26 minutes of play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xande Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Lamine Xande sent off a good shot on target. New Joinville - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jacob Santalla took the corner. Xande Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by New Joinville - FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 38th match minute, New Joinville - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durvalino Travassos to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Xande Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lamine Xande fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Joinville - FSCMZ's protests and gave Lamine Xande a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. A hard shot 86 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Xande Buffon managed to make a qualified save. New Joinville - FSCMZ's players were relieved.
