Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Virgilio Kennedy started the match with the kick off. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a Chard United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Santos Santio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Lamar Arthur left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chard United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lamar Arthur. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Virgilio Kennedy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Chard United's Lamar Arthur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Salvador Gisbert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st play minute Virgilio Kennedy came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 3-0. Tomas Illescas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Santos Santio. Chard United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Virgilio Kennedy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Valeriu Tăzlăuanu fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chard United's protests and gave Valeriu Tăzlăuanu a yellow card for diving instead. Valeriu Tăzlăuanu hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Chard United's Lukasz Jazwiec pulled a muscle in his back after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 45 minutes into the game, Jonathan Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chard United the free kick. In the 46th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Chard United's goalkeeper Santos Santio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Virgilio Kennedy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Chard United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Kennedy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lamar Arthur in the 58th minute of play. When Jose Correa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Chard United's Virgilio Kennedy. But to his dismay, Virgilio Kennedy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgilio Kennedy went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Kennedy in the 80th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Chard United. Lamar Arthur stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. 7-0. 91 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Kennedy came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgilio Kennedy went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chard United had played much better football throughout.
