Lunatics of Arianrhod's Joel Hibai was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nicanor Ascencio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 5 minutes into the match, El Pulpo Paceño's goalkeeper Nicanor Ascencio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johan Ström. Nicanor Ascencio was a little too slow when Joel Hibai got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Nicanor Ascencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Martini, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Fedele Panza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicanor Ascencio was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Panza in the 15th minute of play forced El Pulpo Paceño's goalkeeper Nicanor Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Aristides Lluc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Tammaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johan Ström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Nicanor Ascencio made a huge save. Nicanor Ascencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Hibai in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Lluc in the 37th minute of play forced Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Cristoforo Tammaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Berriotxoa Abadie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elia Di Sipio hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Nicanor Ascencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Martini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lunatics of Arianrhod booed when El Pulpo Paceño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berriotxoa Abadie didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Lunatics of Arianrhod's Ernesto Benedetti was substituted for Walter Giusti. 56 minutes into the match, El Pulpo Paceño's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Hibai came free, but Nicanor Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicanor Ascencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Martini in the 57th minute of play. Joel Hibai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Lunatics of Arianrhod's Makis Galopoulos got a free kick in the 78th minute. Ernesto Martini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Pulpo Paceño's Nicanor Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Hibai in the 90th minute of play. Cristoforo Tammaro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ysmael Abad showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 95 minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
