Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sammy Kosgei started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the game, Remigio Gelacio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Herradura FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rothwell Park the free kick. The supporters of Rothwell Park booed when La Herradura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Gelacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Marco Asier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Herradura FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rothwell Park the free kick. Marco Asier hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Sammy Kosgei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Herradura FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Moses Limo scored to the left of an out of position Maximino Polo, making the score, 1-0. Dennis Mwaura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Maximino Polo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Origi got free with Maximino Polo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Olga Mohamed fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rothwell Park's protests and gave Olga Mohamed a yellow card for diving instead. Moses Limo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Maximino Polo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sammy Kosgei showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 39 minute of play. In the 42nd minute Dennis Mwaura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Polo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Herradura FC's Maximino Polo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moses Limo in the 44th minute of play. La Herradura FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Sammy Kosgei scored to the left of an out of position Maximino Polo, making the score, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pes to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, La Herradura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Mwaura came free, but Maximino Polo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albano Montrelle's shot from long distance in the 60th minute was not bad at all, but Rothwell Park's Zablon Maish knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Zablon Maish showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pes, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, La Herradura FC's Remigio Gelacio got a free kick in the 67th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Albano Montrelle put in a rough tackle. Albano Montrelle hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. La Herradura FC's Maximino Polo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Origi in the 72nd minute of play. Ulises Laurendi had several of the Rothwell Park's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Zablon Maish as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 79 played minutes La Herradura FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Laurendi. Zablon Maish was a little too slow when Clemente Erdiano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Kosgei in the 89th minute of play forced La Herradura FC's goalkeeper Maximino Polo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Rothwell Park players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
