Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Damian Cârlan took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jan-Kenneth Øglænd struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Vlad Covrig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Pladask. In the 7th minute, Jan-Kenneth Øglænd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC Pladask's André Magnussen got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 20 minutes, Kai Sommervold mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Pladask and the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kai Sommervold kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Strong Phoenix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Cârlan in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Douglas Fowler saved FC Pladask from getting behind. In the 26th minute, Calistrat Şerbănescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Douglas Fowler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Damian Cârlan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Fowler was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. 29 minutes into the game, Tord Kaur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Pladask's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca the free kick. After 30 played minutes FC Pladask got a freekick which was hit by Tord Kaur. Olimpiu Fecioru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Fowler having to interfere. Douglas Fowler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Cârlan in the 33rd minute of the match. After 37 minutes of play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Calistrat Şerbănescu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas Fowler was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute of the match Jan-Kenneth Øglænd shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vlad Covrig showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Kenneth Øglænd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olimpiu Fecioru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Douglas Fowler made a huge save. In the 55th minute, André Magnussen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Fowler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Cârlan in the 57th minute of play. If Damian Cârlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Fowler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olimpiu Fecioru in the 64th minute. Damian Cârlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Olimpiu Fecioru got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 77th minute Damian Cârlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Fowler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Mircea Jupân hit a great ball. After 89 minutes, Theodor Sandø mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Pladask and the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. 88 minutes into the game, one of FC Pladask:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca. Lucian Şimonca stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Douglas Fowler. 0-3. In the 95th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olimpiu Fecioru to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th match minute, FC Pladask was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Bergerud to maneuver through the defense. The FC Pladask supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's performance. The match ended with a win for PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca.
