Matej Heriban's late challenge caught a Cacomixtles de Queretaro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matej Heriban helped the player get up and apologised. Melquiades Peruxu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC XY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melquiades Peruxu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1.

Teo Ekialde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jozef Michálek in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Cacomixtles de Queretaro booed when FC XY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matej Heriban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascual Jaunti was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 55th minute Christian Asur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Adamek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Teo Ekialde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Obšut in the 58th minute of play.
