After 2 played minutes Rothwell Park got a freekick which was hit by Saleh Ntalami. FC Pladask's Kenneth Stordal shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zablon Maish but with some difficulty. After 7 played minutes FC Pladask got a freekick which was hit by Søren Skålevik. Rothwell Park's Zablon Maish played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Kenneth Øglænd in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Søren Skålevik in the 15th minute of play forced Rothwell Park's goalkeeper Zablon Maish to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Sammy Kosgei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Fowler was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. When Rothwell Park's Sammy Kosgei in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Rothwell Park booed when FC Pladask was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Frode Vestrheim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Kenneth Øglænd received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zablon Maish came out and tried to block the shot, but Jan-Kenneth Øglænd slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. When Dennis Mwaura came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Rothwell Park fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Mwaura couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Moses Limo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tord Kaur received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zablon Maish came out and tried to block the shot, but Tord Kaur slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sammy Kosgei was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Erik Bratli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Rothwell Park's Dennis Mwaura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Douglas Fowler. That made the score 2-1 after 56 minutes of play. Zablon Maish showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Kenneth Øglænd, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. During the 61st minute of the match Moses Limo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Moses Limo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 62nd match minute, Rothwell Park was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moses Limo to maneuver through the defense. Saleh Ntalami kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Kiran Rop kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. FC Pladask made a substitution. Amund Gjerstad replaced Erik Bratli. A collision led to Rothwell Park getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Kiran Rop hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Jan-Kenneth Øglænd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zablon Maish saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Pladask's Douglas Fowler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Kosgei in the 69th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Douglas Fowler successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Zablon Maish came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Pladask's Alf Eik. But to his dismay, Alf Eik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Alf Eik charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alf Eik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Pladask getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Alf Eik hit a great ball. Sammy Kosgei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Fowler having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristen Sollien in the 86th minute of play forced Rothwell Park's goalkeeper Zablon Maish to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Mwaura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Douglas Fowler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Pladask booed when Rothwell Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zablon Shikanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zablon Maish showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Eik in the 93rd minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Rothwell Park's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Kenneth Øglænd came free, but Zablon Maish reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Pladask had won after a very even match.
