The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Obšut got free with Dacian Ghițescu in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute Golo Phoenix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Adamek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes, Felix Mihăilescu made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC XY's Peter Adamek tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Felix Mihăilescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Adamek. FC XY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Mihăilescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Peter Adamek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Golo Phoenix in the 31st minute of play. Golo Phoenix took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Adamek. Peter Adamek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Golo Phoenix sped through FC XY's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Peter Adamek. Gabriel Bučko kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Peter Adamek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Mihăilescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.
The wind increased when Golo Phoenix made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Golo Phoenix in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Adamek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peter Adamek was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Golo Phoenix showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 56 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC XY's zone, Virgil Jupân stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Adamek came out of the goal and Virgil Jupân tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peter Adamek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Golo Phoenix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 minutes, Václav Košičan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC XY and the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card.
