After 3 minutes, Aron Neaga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt and the A & B United FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of A & B United FC booed when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Neaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Olof Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute A & B United FC were awarded a corner. Åke Benet went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led A & B United FC's Åke Benet to fire away a dangerous shot which Mădălin Buzgar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Matei Ghionescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's supporters rose to their feet, but Matei Ghionescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven Svensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Matei Ghionescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, A & B United FC's Sven Svensson got control of the ball when Sorin Opincaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan-Olof Lindgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mădălin Buzgar having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mircea Jivulescu in the 25th minute of play forced A & B United FC's goalkeeper Sven Svensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sorin Opincaru charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sorin Opincaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute of the match Åke Benet shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mădălin Buzgar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mădălin Buzgar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Olof Lindgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Corneliu Druga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Sven Svensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Svensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sorin Opincaru in the 39th minute of play. When Sorin Opincaru came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sorin Opincaru couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mircea Jivulescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Sorin Opincaru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven Svensson. A & B United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sorin Opincaru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Orvar Ugla hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, A & B United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Unchiaşu came free, but Sven Svensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Christian Mossberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A & B United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt the free kick. A collision led to A & B United FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Christian Mossberg hit a great ball. If Gigi Unchiaşu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Jan-Olof Lindgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. A & B United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Olof Lindgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mădălin Buzgar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 played minutes FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt got a freekick which was hit by Matei Ghionescu. A collision led to A & B United FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jan-Olof Lindgren hit a great ball. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
