Santo Jayaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Mwaura, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, Trescientos's Ugaitz Oñate got a free kick in the 7th minute. Santo Jayaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Kosgei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genaro Maria's late challenge caught a Rothwell Park's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Maria helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rothwell Park booed when Trescientos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Maria didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Maria in the 19th minute of play forced Rothwell Park's goalkeeper Charles Oduor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Genaro Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Oduor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sammy Kosgei in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santo Jayaga saved Trescientos from getting behind. After 30 minutes of play, Trescientos's Vicente Viniambres made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charles Oduor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Genaro Maria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Charles Oduor came out and tried to block the shot, but Genaro Maria slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 33rd minute. Fernando Senqui kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Santo Jayaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Kosgei in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Trescientos's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Mwaura came free, but Santo Jayaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santo Jayaga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sammy Kosgei's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. When Rothwell Park's Sammy Kosgei in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trescientos's goalie prevented a goal. If Genaro Maria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 minutes of play, Rothwell Park's Wilson Korir made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santo Jayaga was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Viniambres to strike the kick off in the second half. If Sammy Kosgei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trescientos's Santo Jayaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Kosgei in the 71st minute of play. Sammy Kosgei in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Santo Jayaga, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sammy Kosgei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Jayaga having to interfere. The supporters of Rothwell Park booed when Trescientos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ugaitz Oñate didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Trescientos getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Vicente Viniambres hit a great ball. Trescientos's Santo Jayaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Mwaura in the 92nd minute of play. Trescientos's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
