The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alejo Asier scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Per-Åke Thorsberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th match minute, La Herradura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulises Laurendi to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute of the match, Edvin Lindkvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maximino Polo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 12 minutes, Alejo Asier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Herradura FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejo Asier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, one of Målilla:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Målilla. In the 16th minute, Bernardino Dunixi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per-Åke Thorsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Laurendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute Alejo Asier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Åke Thorsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Målilla's goalie and right to Remigio Gelacio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Målilla's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Dennis Ekenberg's late challenge caught a La Herradura FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dennis Ekenberg helped the player get up and apologised. Maximino Polo made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Edvin Lindkvist sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute Alejo Asier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Åke Thorsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Birger Dahlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Målilla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Herradura FC the free kick. After 45 played minutes Målilla got a freekick which was hit by Birger Dahlberg. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejo Asier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Laurendi in the 53rd minute of play forced Målilla's goalkeeper Per-Åke Thorsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Jaunti's shot from long distance in the 56th minute was not bad at all, but Målilla's Per-Åke Thorsberg knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Målilla's Per-Åke Thorsberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Målilla from getting a goal against them. Alejo Asier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Åke Thorsberg having to interfere. Per-Åke Thorsberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejo Asier's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, La Herradura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Birger Dahlberg came free, but Maximino Polo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulises Laurendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to La Herradura FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Remigio Gelacio hit a great ball. Birger Dahlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Polo having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Målilla got a freekick which was hit by Birger Dahlberg. After 90 played minutes Målilla got a freekick which was hit by Birger Dahlberg. When the final whistle sounded La Herradura FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Målilla.
