He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edmund Makomaski. Sümer İslam charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sümer İslam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sümer İslam kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, MegaFenerbahce's Marco Servando ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edmund Makomaski. Edmund Makomaski yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Marco Servando was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 21 minutes into the match, Barça's goalkeeper Edmund Makomaski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 顾义远. Barça's Edmund Makomaski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Mancinelli in the 22nd minute of play. Aldo Paoletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmund Makomaski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Servando in the 33rd minute of the match. After 44 minutes, Remigiusz Bronicki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barça and the MegaFenerbahce players grew even worse after the yellow card. Remigiusz Bronicki kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Fabio Mancinelli might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmund Makomaski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabio Mancinelli ran back to his position shaking his head. Barça's Arkadiusz Kajdasz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Feliciano Henrico in the 47 minute of the game. Pierre Dziedelonis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Atay Türegün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 顾义远 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 顾义远 might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmund Makomaski. The audience was convinced that 顾义远's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmund Makomaski was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Edmund Makomaski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alkın Ateş in the 71st minute of play. Edmund Makomaski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 顾义远's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute of the match MegaFenerbahce got a corner. Barça's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabio Mancinelli ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to MegaFenerbahce's Feliciano Henrico getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Barça's Arne Rott got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84thth minute of the game 顾义远 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barça's Edmund Makomaski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aldo Paoletti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Atay Türegün made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Barça's Aldo Paoletti got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The throw-in from Fabio Mancinelli in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Barça's Olaf Grocholski. The supporters of MegaFenerbahce booed when Barça was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Rott didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barça's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
