When Fabio Mancinelli came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the MegaFenerbahce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Mancinelli couldn't finish the play. Atay Türegün showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Panagonov in the 25th minute of the match. FC Zurich's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Fabio Mancinelli scored to the left of an out of position Marek Tyski, making the score, 2-1. In the 34th minute Bedir Vasfi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marek Tyski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Janusz Lamczyk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atay Türegün was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.
