The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena got control of the ball when Renato Augusto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lei Feng Yan scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maurino Serena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maurino Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Owsiak in the 12th minute of play. Aurelio Walme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Bacete in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Belo Alvarez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Aurelio Walme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leroy Antunez was slow to take the kick. During this time A.D. Alcorcón's players had a chance to rest. Esteban Vadillos kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 25 minutes of play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Renato Augusto made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurino Serena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aurelio Walme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manolo Bacete, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leroy Antunez was slow to take the kick. During this time A.D. Alcorcón's players had a chance to rest. Maurino Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Augusto in the 31st minute of play. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after A.D. Alcorcón's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lei Feng Yan took the corner. The corner led S.E.R. Lei Feng Yan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maurino Serena. 4-1. A.D. Alcorcón's Isaac Ortiz was substituted for Belo Alvarez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Owsiak in the 83rd minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caxias do Sul's Aurelio Walme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolo Bacete in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Apolinar Guijarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goal looked a bit too open when Lei Feng Yan came free, but Maurino Serena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Owsiak in the 92nd minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Isaac Ortiz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aurelio Walme, passed just outside the right post.
