A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 11 minutes, Jardel Baggio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ITAFUT 4EVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jardel Baggio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodriguinho Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jardel Baggio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dida Taffarel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dorian Moraes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Nilson Peres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Paul Møffelmand in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Linhares notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel. Dida Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Despite this Dida Taffarel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Jordan Henderson fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ITAFUT 4EVER's protests and gave Jordan Henderson a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in ITAFUT 4EVER fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Marquês de Hervals' Nilson Peres just managed to throw himself towards the right post in the 34thth minute after Moussa Kabres penalty, and stop a certain goal. A collision led to Marquês de Herval getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Lorenzo Mendebal hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Jardel Baggio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ITAFUT 4EVER fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Moussa Kabre hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Baggio in the 39th minute of play. Dorian Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jardel Baggio in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Taffarel saved Marquês de Herval from getting behind. When ITAFUT 4EVER's Jardel Baggio in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marquês de Herval's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nilson Peres was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After 46 minutes ITAFUT 4EVER's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Moussa Kabre who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Marquês de Herval's Moussa Kabre to fire away a dangerous shot which Nilson Peres despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Dida Taffarel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The ITAFUT 4EVER players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
