Benny Stolpe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Primitivo Andino made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's Dawid Cupial. The audience was convinced that Freddy Basajaun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Joinville S.German-FSCMZ got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enrique Loureiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 59th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Freddy Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Basajaun in the 64th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddy Basajaun in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benny Stolpe was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's Vladimir Albuquerque was substituted for Freddy Basajaun. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Enrique Loureiro in the 78th minute. Enrique Loureiro made a great header on Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
