Anderson Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Delmiro Licerio took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Carlos Augusto Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Paiva in the 28th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abram Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Abram Sarmiento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Augusto Quintal was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 33rd minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Várzea F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Axel Montenegro made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that Várzea F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Quintal managed to reach the ball for a save. After 35 minutes, Axel Montenegro made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Várzea F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Quintal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Axel Montenegro took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Augusto Quintal. Carlos Augusto Quintal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 45th minute, Jude Monkhouse left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Várzea F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Mastache came free, but Carlos Augusto Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Delmiro Licerio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Várzea F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. In the 89th minute, Anderson Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dé Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kevin Mastache kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Várzea F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Colombia for a fine match.
