Club Atletico Chusca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Monty Rogers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Chusca's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Serafin Eate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafin Eate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lauro Moreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Day. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lauro Moreira ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Moreira in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 16th minute of play forced Club Atletico Chusca's goalkeeper Serafin Eate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob May in the 19th minute of play forced Club Atletico Chusca's goalkeeper Serafin Eate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. USA were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Club Atletico Chusca's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cassius Byrne took the corner. Jenson Smith was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. Serafin Eate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 53rd minute of play. Serafin Eate made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, USA's Diego Bradley got a free kick in the 68th minute. Club Atletico Chusca's Alberto Confesor was substituted for Herman Arvidsson. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. The supporters of Club Atletico Chusca booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Bradley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atletico Chusca's Serafin Eate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 72nd minute of play. A throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game was made by Jenson Smith with Khalid Parry as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Marco Baker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Eate having to interfere. USA played a much better game than Club Atletico Chusca and deserved their victory. The Club Atletico Chusca players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
