If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Maurino Serena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Belo Alvarez put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erlantz Bermejo in the 29th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 30th minute of play. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after A.D. Alcorcón's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Mexico's Facundo Cadaval was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Maurino Serena in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Erlantz Bermejo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Maurino Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 37th minute of play. In the 43rd play minute Belo Alvarez came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dante Lacasa. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erlantz Bermejo in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when A.D. Alcorcón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Acosta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belo Alvarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurino Serena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A.D. Alcorcón made a substitution. Leroy Antunez replaced Belo Alvarez. Alberto Tafalla scored 2-3 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maurino Serena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
