That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Podador Raheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Willian Cuesta came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Podador Raheiro. But to his dismay, Podador Raheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 16 minutes into the game, ARES FC DeusDeFutbol's Roman Garci nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilkka Markkula made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 19 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Ilkka Markkula had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otsando Fierro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Garci in the 20th minute of play forced Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Ilkka Markkula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportes Santa Cruz from getting a goal against them. After 21 minutes of play, ARES FC DeusDeFutbol's Roman Garci made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilkka Markkula was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute Roman Garci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilkka Markkula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilkka Markkula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Garci in the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes of play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Podador Raheiro made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 38th minute, Eduardo Elia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Albert Hufnagel from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Ilkka Markkula's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Willian Cuesta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Podador Raheiro in the 41st minute of play. Ilkka Markkula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Garci in the 43rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Club Deportes Santa Cruz defense, Otsando Fierro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilkka Markkula. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilkka Markkula should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Podador Raheiro to make the kick off. Vágner Linares lost his temper 76 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of ARES FC DeusDeFutbol booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albert Hufnagel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ilkka Markkula. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 86th minute Otsando Fierro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilkka Markkula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game was made by Albert Hufnagel with Otsando Fierro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 97th match minute, ARES FC DeusDeFutbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Hufnagel to maneuver through the defense.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ARES FC DeusDeFutbol had won after a very even match.
