Chicão Sergipano scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marian Janoško, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute Oswaldo Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Janoško saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Breckenfeld in the 32nd minute of play forced Fortuna 86 Szczecin's goalkeeper Marian Janoško to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marian Janoško showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Cearense in the 38th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Zula Adamczak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Callegari's Alessandro Cearense got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oswaldo Breckenfeld to strike the kick off in the second half. Cícero Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Koperski in the 75th minute of the match. Chicão Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Marian Janoško tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Callegari's Cícero Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Czeslaw Koperski in the 83rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswaldo Breckenfeld got free with Marian Janoško in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ernesto Meira was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 87 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Callegari fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! In the 91st minute Stasio Domeradzki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fortuna 86 Szczecin's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
