The crowd rose to their feet as Newcastle United's Pankracy Malicki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dráuzio Mattos. That made the score 1-2 after 33 minutes of play. In the 38th minute of the match Gone With the Win got a corner. Newcastle United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daud Kunaefi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gone With the Win's Daud Kunaefi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mikolaj Jerzyk in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mikolaj Jerzyk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hannes Kuusk's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Hannes Kuusk might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mikolaj Jerzyk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hannes Kuusk ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Gone With the Win getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Romeo Horado hit a great ball. The Newcastle United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gone With the Win were winning 1-2.

Newcastle United's Benedykt Gdaniec was substituted for Tadeusz Pstrongowski. 60 minutes into the match, Gone With the Win's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Pacholewski came free, but Dráuzio Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corey Taylor's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mikolaj Jerzyk firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dráuzio Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Vollmar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hannes Kuusk. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hannes Kuusk in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikolaj Jerzyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute, Gone With the Win's Hannes Kuusk dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Gone With the Win's Stew Sykes was substituted for Daud Kunaefi. The Newcastle United fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Newcastle United's Thomas Vollmar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
