The corner ended in Lech Biskupiak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk did a great save. 庄潮宽 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Vladimirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Vollmar in the 23rd minute of play.
