Luca Boeru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Aires having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Habil Castolo made a kick off. If Manole Pâslaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niculae Podgoreanu in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinicio Aires prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Silviu Lung made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Arda Ardashov sent off a good shot on target. Costin Neacșu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vinicio Aires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute Paolo Eutor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Lung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Habil Castolo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
