The corner went over the outstretched arms of Vykans Vikingar's goalie and right to Cyprien Combaz. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Vykans Vikingar's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 19 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Dan Wennerqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mats Hermansson. The nice shot from Mats Hermansson in the 19thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Dan Wennerqvist had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrián Espadas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Lano in the 44th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Vykans Vikingar got a freekick which was hit by Abdi Revis. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 95th minute of the match, Răzvan Necula tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcus Ekrot saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Vykans Vikingar players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
