When Edelmiro Jago came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the AC ALDO BONZI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Jago couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Edelmiro Jago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC ALDO BONZI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 26 minutes of play, AC ALDO BONZI's Dave Blair made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. August Hoffmanns was left in no man's land by his defense there! August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Jago in the 30th minute of the match. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Blair in the 32nd minute of play. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Mesut Özil got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, AC ALDO BONZI's Arnoldo Canor got control of the ball when Mesut Özil tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute Edelmiro Jago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hoffmanns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Hugo Haupt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnoldo Canor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximilian Henning in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to AC ALDO BONZI getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Anselmo Cordero hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Anestis Kotsopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters rose to their feet, but Anestis Kotsopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnoldo Canor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Hugo Haupt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Haupt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
