After a rather tough play, Velez-Malaga's Xian Vacas got a free kick in the 8th minute. Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Velez-Malaga from getting a goal against them. After 12 played minutes Velez-Malaga got a freekick which was hit by Apat Cazorla. When Vlashers's Ernest Mareș in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Velez-Malaga's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Xano Castellano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pauli Palander was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Velez-Malaga's goalkeeper Angelino Lawrence had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marius Levința. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marius Levința who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Angelino Lawrence when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Marius Levința had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xano Castellano kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Vlashers's Marius Levința ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angelino Lawrence. Angelino Lawrence yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Angelino Lawrence made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Marius Levința sent off a good shot on target. Pauli Palander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xano Castellano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marius Levința stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Vlashers's Marius Levința in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. During the 68th minute of the match Xian Vacas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Xian Vacas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Marius Levința received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Angelino Lawrence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Vlashers's Pauli Palander got control of the ball when Crescencio Guijarro tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Levința in the 83rd minute of play forced Velez-Malaga's goalkeeper Angelino Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Velez-Malaga's Peru Alcaraz got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute of the match Romeo Giurăscu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angelino Lawrence showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Ernest Mareș made a precise shot to the right of Angelino Lawrence. Velez-Malaga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Angelino Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marius Levința, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Vlashers were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Velez-Malaga for a fine match.
