Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Palacios in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrey Dvoryankin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paolo Rossi scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eulalio Bastian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Arsenal F.C.'s Andrey Dvoryankin got control of the ball when Zhu Bin Kun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paolo Rossi might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eulalio Bastian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After some careless play in the Deportivo Mandiyu defense, Paolo Rossi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eulalio Bastian. The Deportivo Mandiyu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eulalio Bastian should have stopped the shot. The Arsenal F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
