Mondi Muslera came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by KOCAELİSPOR's Refugio Pagan. But to his dismay, Refugio Pagan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE's goal looked a bit too open when Refugio Pagan came free, but Mondi Muslera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbert Varga in the 14th minute of play forced KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Refugio Pagan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Mondi Muslera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FENERBAHÇE's Mondi Muslera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Refugio Pagan in the 19th minute of play. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Varga in the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FENERBAHÇE's Patryk Domaracki got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes, KOCAELİSPOR's Claudio Delgadillo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mondi Muslera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KOCAELİSPOR reached it. Mondi Muslera was a little too slow when Refugio Pagan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 2-0. A throw-in in the 30th minute of the game was made by 巩帆竞 with Anıl Zaik as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When FENERBAHÇE's Korkut Kırgız in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KOCAELİSPOR's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, FENERBAHÇE's Mondi Muslera got control of the ball when Ye Chuan Chen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ali Kağan Özerek hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Mondi Muslera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mbaka Mbolu in the 36th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Mbaka Mbolu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mondi Muslera, 3-0. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miroslaw Nieuzyla, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Refugio Pagan in the 46th minute of play forced FENERBAHÇE's goalkeeper Mondi Muslera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Korkut Kırgız made the kick off in the second half. When Róbert Varga came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the FENERBAHÇE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Róbert Varga couldn't finish the play. Mondi Muslera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ye Chuan Chen, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 64th minute, Mbaka Mbolu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Korkut Kırgız could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a huge save. KOCAELİSPOR made a substitution. Davut Erek replaced Claudio Delgadillo. The throw-in from Fiori Britto in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FENERBAHÇE's Patryk Domaracki. An unexpectedly hard shot by Refugio Pagan in the 73rd minute of play forced FENERBAHÇE's goalkeeper Mondi Muslera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KOCAELİSPOR were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after FENERBAHÇE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Romeo Bâru took the corner. FENERBAHÇE's Mondi Muslera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Refugio Pagan in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Mbaka Mbolu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Mondi Muslera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. KOCAELİSPOR's Ofelio Lagos was substituted for Aykut Nadi. Mondi Muslera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mbaka Mbolu in the 89th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Ahmet Orhan Bakırcı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute of the match Ali Kağan Özerek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
