Joaquin Prats's late challenge caught a Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquin Prats helped the player get up and apologised. Aníbal Berger came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Aníbal Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Peru got a corner. Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo's Aníbal Berger managed to reach the ball for a save. After 24th play minutes Julian Murillo shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Aníbal Berger and just under the crossbar into goal. 27 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aníbal Berger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 28th minute of play forced Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo's goalkeeper Aníbal Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
