Danny Pasquier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Danny Pasquier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11thth minute of the game Youri Djorkaeff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Youri Djorkaeff put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. Felix Montes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Edmond Kubiak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avel Vat's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmond Kubiak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danny Pasquier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Danny Pasquier, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youri Djorkaeff in the 55th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danny Pasquier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 66th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Danny Pasquier despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 80 minutes, Ilan Champion mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avel Vat and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Avel Vat:s Danny Pasquier showed great skill when he stopped Daniel Zorita:s penalty. With a little luck, Avel Vat's Danny Pasquier got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Danny Pasquier in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 90 minutes into the match, Avel Vat's goalkeeper Danny Pasquier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Guillaume Minier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Guillaume Minier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
