The throw-in from Grigore Maghiran in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Old BaoBaB Accademy's Candido Oteiza. If Emiliano Giusto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Giusto in the 5th minute of play. In the 10th minute Bernardo Di Piazza suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Zhao Sen Yang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabiano Violento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. If İlhami Akyazıcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Chiuzbaian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Giusto in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 31st minute of play forced Old BaoBaB Accademy's goalkeeper Fabiano Violento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Grau. İlhami Akyazıcı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Old BaoBaB Accademy's Fabiano Violento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 40th minute of play. Ricardo Jenaro charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Jenaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ricardo Jenaro hit a great ball. Ivan Chiuzbaian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emiliano Giusto went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 47 minutes of play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabiano Violento was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Fabiano Violento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zhao Sen Yang's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Old BaoBaB Accademy's Emiliano Giusto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Chiuzbaian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Fabiano Violento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 59th minute of play. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- made a substitution. Emil Wielopolski replaced Grigore Maghiran. Zhao Sen Yang might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabiano Violento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zhao Sen Yang ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabiano Violento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Fabiano Violento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Grau in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Cesare Marcolongo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Old BaoBaB Accademy's Emilio Buffone was substituted for Emiliano Giusto. After a rather tough play, Old BaoBaB Accademy's Cesare Marcolongo got a free kick in the 69th minute. Fabiano Violento made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Primitivo Grau sent off a good shot on target. Ivan Chiuzbaian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Buffone in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Zhao Sen Yang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Violento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Buffone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ivan Chiuzbaian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Old BaoBaB Accademy made a substitution. Prince Queen replaced Robert Pirès. 81 minutes into the match, Zhao Sen Yang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabiano Violento. Old BaoBaB Accademy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zhao Sen Yang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Fabiano Violento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Petre Iftode shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Violento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Old BaoBaB Accademy's goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Sen Yang came free, but Fabiano Violento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
