In the 103rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Defensive play by both the teams in the second half of extra-time meant the match finished 2-2. The game would now be decided on penalties.

Valette Stars's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
