After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gondor FC™! 10 minutes into the game, Sacro Balompié's Nemesio Rodriguez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tim Bombadil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Abdul Šukrić came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Gondor FC™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdul Šukrić couldn't finish the play. Hakim Mikelini charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hakim Mikelini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Gondor FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Hakim Mikelini. Tim Bombadil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Lauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Domingos Jaizki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tim Bombadil. Gondor FC™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingos Jaizki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 25 played minutes Gondor FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Lordi Ring. Tim Bombadil came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Sacro Balompié's Domingos Jaizki. But to his dismay, Domingos Jaizki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Severiano Oliveiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Domingos Jaizki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Gondor FC™ booed when Sacro Balompié was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Maurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Gondor FC™ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sacro Balompié were winning 0-3.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Lauro in the 55th minute of play forced Gondor FC™'s goalkeeper Tim Bombadil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severiano Oliveiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tim Bombadil firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 71st minute, Himzija Slišković hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sacro Balompié's Maximiliano Chepe was substituted for Jacobo Cristofol. Gondor FC™ made a substitution. Meho Sejfić replaced Muzafer Kalinović. After 72 played minutes Gondor FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Himzija Slišković. Severiano Oliveiro kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Tim Bombadil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Leguizamón in the 84th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Genaro Leguizamón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Bombadil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Gondor FC™'s goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Leguizamón came free, but Tim Bombadil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the match was over Sacro Balompié could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gondor FC™ throughout the match.
