After having played for 6 minutes, Armando Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brazil Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 8 minutes, Hélder de Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brazil Academy and the Wyoming Cowboys players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eric Boberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Wyoming Cowboys's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Aparecido came free, but Gustaf Olofsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nando Quadros hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Ekman in the 18th minute of play forced Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Paulo José de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaf Olofsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubinho Azevedo in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustaf Olofsson saved Wyoming Cowboys from getting behind. Wyoming Cowboys's Gustaf Olofsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Meira in the 40th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubinho Azevedo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Azevedo in the 60th minute of play forced Wyoming Cowboys's goalkeeper Gustaf Olofsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Finnman might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo José de Sena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anton Finnman ran back to his position shaking his head. Armando Meira in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gustaf Olofsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Armando Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nando Quadros succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 67th playminute. Gustaf Olofsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho Azevedo in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Nando Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brazil Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Nando Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustaf Olofsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the match, Wyoming Cowboys's goalkeeper Gustaf Olofsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nando Quadros. Rony Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Olofsson having to interfere. Valdo de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Brazil Academy defense, Eric Boberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo José de Sena. The Brazil Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo José de Sena should have stopped the shot. Leo Pihlwall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Paulo José de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 102nd minute, Bo Gadd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélder de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 103rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Brazil Academy's Hélder de Medeiros got a free kick in the 104th minute. When Brazil Academy's Rubinho Azevedo in the 108th minute got a chance for a shot 108th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the referee signaled the end of the first half of extra-time the score was 1-1. The players had a chance to rest for a moment before the second half.

When it was time for second half in the overtime, the players were a bit slow, but they soon became more alert when it was time for Rubinho Azevedo to make the kick off. Rubinho Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 125th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustaf Olofsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rubinho Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Ekman in the 129th minute of play forced Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Paulo José de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the match had been going on for 134 minutes, Wyoming Cowboys's Gustaf Olofsson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Paulo José de Sena. The goalkeeper, Paulo José de Sena, was totally fooled by Wyoming Cowboys's Leo Pihlwall, who 136 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Paulo José de Sena had in the 138thth minute some difficulties stopping Hélder de Medeiros's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The goalkeeper, Paulo José de Sena, was totally fooled by Wyoming Cowboys's Eric Boberg, who 142 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
