Peru's Joaquin Prats managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kazimierz Ewertowski in the 3 minute of the game. Fevzi Baykara's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Noboa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Śląsk Bytom's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlo Monni in the 7th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Fevzi Baykara heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Monni in the 16th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Fevzi Baykara made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antoni Brama narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd minute of the match Peru got a corner. Śląsk Bytom's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 24th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Brama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute of the game Moises Gayoso made a throw-in which Eliseo Mina played forward. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. Śląsk Bytom's Antoni Brama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of play. Antoni Brama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Eliseo Mina's late challenge caught a Śląsk Bytom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Mina helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Peru's Eliseo Mina got a free kick in the 45th minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Śląsk Bytom's Fevzi Baykara in the 46th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rolando Noboa was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Peru through an amazing save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The Śląsk Bytom fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antoni Brama should have stopped the shot. After 59 minutes Śląsk Bytom's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Antoni Brama successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice moves Julian Murillo could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Antoni Brama however easily saved by the left post. In the 74th match minute, Śląsk Bytom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Nocny to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Śląsk Bytom's goalkeeper Antoni Brama, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 77th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Milagros Fraga immediately put the ball in play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fevzi Baykara, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Aleksander Birkenhagen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Śląsk Bytom's Antoni Brama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Gallo in the 95th minute of play.
