Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Federico Reyes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31stth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Majadita FC's Federico Reyes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Majadita FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Reyes came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Majadita FC the free kick. Agustín Saelices's late challenge caught a Majadita FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
