In the 84th minute of the game Marcin Fronczak made a throw-in which Barry McCray played forward. 88 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Patricio Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lew Yashin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 90 minutes of play, Modlau's Claudio Fioravanti made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Dominic Salazar came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Modlau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominic Salazar couldn't finish the play.
