Valério Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Kapopoulos in the 15th minute of the match. Omiros Kaloumenos charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omiros Kaloumenos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Queluzito booed when Sheriff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omiros Kaloumenos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manos Melogiannis made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Tiago Gabriel Lopez sent off a good shot on target. Clóvis Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Manos Melogiannis made a huge save. Sheriff's Manos Melogiannis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Sheriff from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omiros Kaloumenos in the 27th minute of play forced Queluzito's goalkeeper Valério Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manos Melogiannis made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Clóvis Quirino sent off a good shot on target. Manos Melogiannis came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Queluzito's Clóvis Quirino. But to his dismay, Clóvis Quirino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 35 minutes into the match, Turgut Zor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manos Melogiannis. Sheriff's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Turgut Zor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Vassilis Marianos kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Clóvis Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erasmo Moreno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Manos Melogiannis made a huge save. Sheriff's Manos Melogiannis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Sheriff from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Omiros Kaloumenos made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Clóvis Quirino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manos Melogiannis was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Omiros Kaloumenos in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valério Donatello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Omiros Kaloumenoss short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Valério Donatello to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tiago Gabriel Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valério Donatello came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Sheriff's Dimitris Kapopoulos. But to his dismay, Dimitris Kapopoulos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Dimitris Kabitsis hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Queluzito were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Sheriff's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erasmo Moreno took the corner. Manos Melogiannis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Valério Donatello managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Sheriff's Stefanos Vrettos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Sheriff getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Dimitris Kabitsis hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Erasmo Moreno shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manos Melogiannis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Manos Melogiannis came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Queluzito's Clóvis Quirino. But to his dismay, Clóvis Quirino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2.
