Spectators: 8514 (Terracing: 6387, Seating: 1958, VIP seats: 169) Pheonix FC's Vladislav Hampejs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of The Underdogs booed when Pheonix FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonhard Askeby didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Pieter Kaspers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Underdogs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pieter Kaspers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute Pieter Kaspers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyge Oehlerich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Underdogs's Arnout Visscher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moritz Holmaa in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, The Underdogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Kemper to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Vladislav Hampejs could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Arnout Visscher however easily saved by the left post. In the 18th match minute, The Underdogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfried de Boer to maneuver through the defense. Pheonix FC's Marcel Militaru couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for The Underdogs. Pieter Kaspers kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denny Haan to make the kick off. When David Geers fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Underdogs's protests and gave David Geers a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to The Underdogs getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. David Geers hit a great ball. The supporters of Pheonix FC booed when The Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Geers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moritz Holmaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Arnout Visscher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Pheonix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Denny Haan came free, but Tyge Oehlerich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, The Underdogs's Tyge Oehlerich threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Denny Haan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tyge Oehlerich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denny Haan in the 67th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denny Haan in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tyge Oehlerich saved Pheonix FC from getting behind. Pieter Kaspers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Tyge Oehlerich made a huge save. 74 minutes into the match, Pheonix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Denny Haan came free, but Tyge Oehlerich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Robin Kemper was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Underdogs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pheonix FC the free kick. In the 79th match minute, The Underdogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Kemper to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to The Underdogs getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Robin Kemper hit a great ball. In the 87th minute Godfried de Boer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyge Oehlerich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Marcel Militaru made the kick off and play began. Arnout Visscher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thodoris Aggelou in the 101st minute of play. 112 minutes into the game, Vladislav Hampejs threw the ball into play from the sideline. The Underdogs's Robin Kemper quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tyge Oehlerich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denny Haan in the 116th minute of play. The score was still level after an even and exciting first-half in extra time. The players took a moment to grab a drink and get instructions from their managers before swapping ends.

Both teams seemed ready to fight when The Underdogs's Denny Haan did the kick off and started the second half in the overtime. Shao Hui Li could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 124th minute of the match, but Tyge Oehlerich made a huge save. Arnout Visscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladislav Hampejs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Pheonix FC booed when The Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 128 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfried de Boer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 129th minute of the match Marcel Militaru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Visscher showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pheonix FC's Marcel Militaru got a good chance for a goal in the 131st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 132 played minutes Pheonix FC got a freekick which was hit by Moritz Holmaa. After 30 minutes of extra-time there was still no winner. The players now faced the much dreaded penalty shoot-out.

When the match had been going on for 135 minutes, Pheonix FC's Marcel Militaru got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Arnout Visscher. The goalkeeper, Tyge Oehlerich, was totally fooled by The Underdogs's Denny Haan, who 137 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The goalkeeper, Arnout Visscher, was totally fooled by Pheonix FC's Jorginho Mello, who 144 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
