An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Matos in the 4th minute of play forced C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalkeeper Edgar Gurlui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Gurlui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Matos's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. The supporters of Elite Azulgrana booed when C Ａ R D I N Ａ L was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Nichita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pastor Sagrario in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Gurlui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Pastor Sagrario sped through C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edgar Gurlui. Dionisio Ondino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Popeneciu in the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Elite Azulgrana's Cristian Clementi got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When Mauro Matos came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Elite Azulgrana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Matos couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes, Marian Macrea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C Ａ R D I N Ａ L and the Elite Azulgrana players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 30 played minutes C Ａ R D I N Ａ L got a freekick which was hit by Marian Macrea. In the 33rd minute, Clemente Oro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Mauro Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Gurlui was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 43 minutes into the match, Nicolae Niculcea notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Elite Azulgrana's Dionisio Ondino. Dionisio Ondino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Nicolae Niculcea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The C Ａ R D I N Ａ L players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Elite Azulgrana were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Pastor Sagrario made the kick off in the second half. Sandu Onciu hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. After having played for 57 minutes, Mauro Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elite Azulgrana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eugen Popeneciu scored 2-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dionisio Ondino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Iulian Ghionea in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Elite Azulgrana's Vinicio Luzaide. Sorin Unchiaşu kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Mauro Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgar Gurlui made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Pastor Sagrario sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th match minute, Elite Azulgrana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Clementi to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the match, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Matos came free, but Edgar Gurlui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Gurlui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Matos in the 74th minute of play. Edgar Gurlui came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Elite Azulgrana's Mauro Matos. But to his dismay, Mauro Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Mauro Matos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Gurlui having to make a save. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Edgar Gurlui proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save C Ａ R D I N Ａ L from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Mauro Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elite Azulgrana's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Gurlui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pastor Sagrario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Vinicio Luzaide fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elite Azulgrana's protests and gave Vinicio Luzaide a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of C Ａ R D I N Ａ L booed when Elite Azulgrana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Luzaide didn't get a good kick on the ball. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Marian Macrea got his second yellow card of the match in the 94th minute. The referee ordered Marian Macrea off the ground. Marian Macrea hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.

The Elite Azulgrana players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
