Spectators: 10154 (Terracing: 7617, Seating: 2335, VIP seats: 202) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felice Schiacciacasse started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerrie Kuijsten in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fulvio Belfiore saved Glasgow Rangers FC from getting behind. After 8 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Robin Willemsen. In the 10th minute, Glasgow Rangers FC's Emanuele Moretta seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emanuele Moretta the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Glasgow Rangers FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emanuele Moretta had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Glasgow Rangers FC! Maurice Haydon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Fulvio Belfiore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20thth minute of the game Gerrie Kuijsten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glasgow Rangers FC's Fulvio Belfiore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fulvio Belfiore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathijs Looze's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Comunardo Zollino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serge Buring having to interfere. Serge Buring showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Lio in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Comunardo Zollino sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ágætis Byrjun's Serge Buring didn't even have to move. Mathijs Looze kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Dennis Lio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Serge Buring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Glasgow Rangers FC's Ferruccio Sabatini got a free kick in the 46th minute. The long shot by Marcus Zaagman in the 48th minute really tested Fulvio Belfiore's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerrie Kuijsten made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Glasgow Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerrie Kuijsten came free, but Fulvio Belfiore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 played minutes Glasgow Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Franco Ferrini. In the 63rd minute, Comunardo Zollino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulvio Belfiore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathijs Looze in the 66th minute of the match. When Ágætis Byrjun's Gerrie Kuijsten in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Glasgow Rangers FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 68th match minute, Glasgow Rangers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Comunardo Zollino to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Glasgow Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerrie Kuijsten came free, but Fulvio Belfiore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute of the match Marcus Zaagman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fulvio Belfiore showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fulvio Belfiore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Haydon in the 77th minute of play. Gerrie Kuijsten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulvio Belfiore having to interfere. Fulvio Belfiore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerrie Kuijsten, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Marcus Zaagman hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After 88 played minutes, Glasgow Rangers FC's Comunardo Zollino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Serge Buring came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Glasgow Rangers FC reached it. Fulvio Belfiore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerrie Kuijsten, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
