He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in VASCO DA GAMA reached it. Recai Keçeli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. VASCO DA GAMA's Recai Keçeli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 22nd minute of play. Recai Keçeli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 82nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Recai Keçeli saved VASCO DA GAMA from getting behind. VASCO DA GAMA's Inácio Dias was substituted for Adriano Branco. Honduras's attentive Esteban Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Benjamin Capixaba made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Recai Keçeli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. VASCO DA GAMA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
