Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After 4 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Romarinho Silva who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that José Augusto Figueiredo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cido Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 7th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Atlético de Crisal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Goiano to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Romarinho Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Romarinho Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Augusto Figueiredo during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Augusto Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Cido Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute. A collision led to Atlético de Crisal getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Alessandro Goiano hit a great ball. When Haroldo Capixaba fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético de Crisal's protests and gave Haroldo Capixaba a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Atlético de Crisal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Atlético de Crisal's Cido Valle. Cido Valle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Breno Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Cido Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Kaká Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Kaká Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Atlético de Crisal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Cido Valle threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Felix Montes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 63rd minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atlético de Crisal made a substitution. Henrique dos Santos replaced Alessandro Goiano. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético de Crisal's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cido Valle came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cido Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 70th minute. Romarinho Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Primitivo Andino charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Primitivo Andino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 81 minutes into the match, Atlético de Crisal's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Cido Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Cido Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cido Valle came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 91st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Atlético de Crisal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Vito Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético de Crisal.
