Christian Sancho hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Nedelcho Petlichkov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. In the 13th match minute, ЦСКА was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nedelcho Petlichkov to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Ivelin Ananiev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ЦСКА's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. After a rather tough play, ЦСКА's Ivelin Ananiev got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes ЦСКА got a freekick which was hit by Bilyan Fudulov. In the 18th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anzhelo Gerushin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Ivelin Ananiev in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belcho Hlebarov in the 23rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute of the match ЦСКА got a corner. Honduras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ivelin Ananiev ran over to the corner to take the kick. ЦСКА's Ivelin Ananiev was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lautaro Navarro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anzhelo Gerushin was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Nedelcho Petlichkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Nedelcho Petlichkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toncho Súrbinski charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toncho Súrbinski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in ЦСКА's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anzhelo Gerushin came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, ЦСКА's Gergin Shtúrbov got a free kick in the 51st minute. Sebastian Villa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anzhelo Gerushin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 52 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Anzhelo Gerushin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, ЦСКА's Toncho Súrbinski got a free kick in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, ЦСКА's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Anzhelo Gerushin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Ivelin Ananiev threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Honduras's attentive Christian Sancho managed to snatch the ball when Toncho Súrbinski made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belcho Hlebarov in the 65th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Belcho Hlebarov notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes Honduras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ivelin Ananiev who took care of the corner kick. 89 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anzhelo Gerushin. Edmundo Espiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Anzhelo Gerushin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
