Hjalmar Haegg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind PP Plessydask's goalkeeper Jan Abrahamsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Haegg in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Lu Sheng Peng threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. PP Plessydask's Jan Abrahamsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Abrahamsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Abrahamsson had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Luz Tejedor's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when Peru's Luz Tejedor after 35 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for PP Plessydask's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-1. 42 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hjalmar Haegg. 43 minutes into the match, PP Plessydask's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Jan Abrahamsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Abrahamsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hjalmar Haegg to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of PP Plessydask booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Lu Sheng Peng in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hjalmar Haegg in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Hjalmar Haegg came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PP Plessydask's Edgar Marques was substituted for Bertil Lundberg. The PP Plessydask fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when PP Plessydask's Palle Pottenstein looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Abrahamsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babe Baadegaard in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute of the game Lu Sheng Peng made a throw-in which Edgar Marques played forward. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lu Sheng Peng, made in the 78th minute of the game. 79 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Abrahamsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 80th minute of the match Peru got a corner. PP Plessydask's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jan Abrahamsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Artemio Lastur's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Lastur helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Artemio Lastur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
