Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) U21 Sweden's Pelle Flinck started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of U21 Poland booed when U21 Sweden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pelle Flinck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sixten Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Er Håland in the 5th minute of play. Wiktor Kjellqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelle Flinck in the 16th minute of play. Sixten Nordström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Er Håland, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Tanek Wojtyna came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Sweden's Wiktor Kjellqvist. But to his dismay, Wiktor Kjellqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tanek Wojtyna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pelle Flinck's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Sixten Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Er Håland in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Er Håland in the 30th minute of play forced U21 Sweden's goalkeeper Sixten Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sixten Nordström came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Poland's Er Håland. But to his dismay, Er Håland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. U21 Sweden's Sixten Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Er Håland in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Er Håland came free, but Sixten Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
U21 Poland's Rusi Moskal was substituted for Er Håland. U21 Poland made a substitution. Witold Bycofski replaced Federico Chiesa. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rusi Moskal made a kick off. Sixten Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rusi Moskal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pelle Flinck in the 60th minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Tanek Wojtyna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pelle Flinck might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tanek Wojtyna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pelle Flinck ran back to his position shaking his head. Tanek Wojtyna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pelle Flinck, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pelle Flinck in the 63rd minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Tanek Wojtyna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute Zbigniew Pincoski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixten Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Sixten Nordström managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when U21 Poland's Rusi Moskal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tanek Wojtyna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiktor Kjellqvist in the 67th minute of the match. U21 Sweden's Viggo Vassenius was substituted for Richard Tinglöv. U21 Sweden's Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos was substituted for Pelle Flinck. Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute U21 Poland were awarded a corner. Zdzislaw Kręcina went to the cornerflag to take it. 76 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Rusi Moskal came free, but Sixten Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sixten Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbigniew Pincoski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86thth minute of the game Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tanek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Sundberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rusi Moskal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Sixten Nordström made a huge save. Tanek Wojtyna didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when U21 Sweden's Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the U21 Poland players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U21 Sweden.
