Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Robertas Lewandowski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Sixten Nordström skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Sixten Nordström managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when U21 Poland's Er Håland fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Karl-Erik Lind received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tanek Wojtyna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The U21 Sweden fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when U21 Sweden's Pelle Flinck looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the U21 Poland defense, Wiktor Kjellqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tanek Wojtyna. The U21 Poland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tanek Wojtyna should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Er Håland came free, but Sixten Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match U21 Sweden got a corner. U21 Poland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luc Fontaine ran over to the corner to take the kick. U21 Sweden's Luc Fontaine was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tanek Wojtyna in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zbigniew Boniek made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U21 Sweden's Ulrik Sjöberg. In the 42nd match minute, U21 Sweden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rio Python to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Pelle Flinck came free, but Tanek Wojtyna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The U21 Poland players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Sweden were winning 0-2.
The wind increased when Pelle Flinck made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goalkeeper Tanek Wojtyna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pelle Flinck. Sixten Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kamilo Glik in the 53rd minute of play. Sixten Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robertas Lewandowski in the 58th minute of the match. Wiktor Hodyl kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. U21 Sweden made a substitution. Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos replaced Pelle Flinck. U21 Poland's Zbigniew Pincoski was substituted for Igor Andrychowski. U21 Poland made a substitution. Zdzislaw Rydzewski replaced Federico Chiesa. U21 Sweden made a substitution. Viggo Vassenius replaced Richard Tinglöv. A collision led to U21 Poland getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Wiktor Hodyl hit a great ball. Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute Robertas Lewandowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixten Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Rusi Moskal put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sixten Nordström. Tommy Sundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Wojtyna having to interfere. Stanislaw Maziarski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Sixten Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos sped through U21 Poland's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tanek Wojtyna. Mariusz Truskovskiy got a throw-in 81 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Stanislaw Maziarski. In the 82nd minute Robertas Lewandowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixten Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robertas Lewandowski in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixten Nordström saved U21 Sweden from getting behind. 92 minutes into the match, Robertas Lewandowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sixten Nordström. U21 Sweden's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robertas Lewandowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. U21 Sweden's Karl-Erik Lind quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mariusz Truskovskiy, made in the 94th minute of the game.
